December 12 | Intro to Sewing and Pattern Replicating

Join local designer Samantha Rei (Project Runway Season 16) for this class all about the basics of sewing. We’ll begin with an introduction to sewing tools, caring for a sewing machine, and how to get ready to start your sewing practice. Then you’ll create a sewing pattern using a garment from your closet to take with you. End the class with a guided tour of the exhibition “Paris Couture” (admission is included in your class fee). You’ll need to bring an item of clothing made from nonstretch material to create your sewing pattern. All other materials are provided. No sewing experience required.
